Timberline Gardens’ plant propagator Mary Lilja lends her success in gardening to planting by the phases of the moon. Did you know that you’d have a better potato crop if you plant when the moon is waning? Farmers have utilized this knowledge and resources like the Farmer’s Almanac for centuries to insure a good harvest. Mary will take you through the process of planting by the moon and discuss much of the folklore associated with this farming technique.
